Program Specijalno ženski / Especially female

The Especially Female program is an introduction of a sort to the IC4 program of the international competition category titled Frankly Female. The program consists of the short films.

The common characteristic of nearly all of these films is that their lady directors have also taken care of the screenwriting, editing, and production of their creations – in other words, they were in charge of the process from start to finish. We at Tabor Film Festival believe that, due to the fact that there are still many more male than female directors, and that the financial support more often goes to the male directors, women who want to make their own films often have no choice but to carry out their project entirely on their own. Tabor Film Festival wishes to acknowledge their accomplishments with this program, and futher encourage women to express their creativity by means of film and video.

Opis:	Ovaj program posvećen je umjetničkom stvaralaštvu žena. Zajednička crta gotovo svim filmovima je da su redateljice filmova programa Stvarno(st) ženska najčešće i scenaristice, montažerke i producentice svojih djela, dakle drže sve autorske uzde u svojim rukama. Kako je omjer redatelja i redateljica u svijetu višestruko na strani muškaraca, a tako i financijska podrška, vjerujemo da žene koje se bave filmom često nemaju izbora nego u potpunosti preuzeti vlastitu filmsku produkciju.
